Portraits in historical costume in the style of "old masters"

Paintings are created using proven "old masters" painting techniques. The canvas is prepared with an emulsion ground. The painting is created mainly from oil on canvas with "imprimitura" isolations, and then sealed with a final varnish. Using the same technology as old master paintings guarantees the durability of the masterpiece.

Legible photographs of good size are required to compose the painting. A large amount of photos on CD will help me to find one that is suitable. Good composition is the foundation for a professional result. Try to look natural when taking photographs. It is also a good practice to take some photos from the side to allow clearer spatial modelling of the face. Detail photos in different lighting conditions are also useful. Direct visiting for live painting is possible.

For ideas/inspiration, I suggest you find some images of historical "old master" works that you like. You can send these picture(s) to me as well as an input to the composition.

Please allow enough time for the technical processes ( curing of paint and final varnish) to be completed. Any acceleration of the work is at the expense of quality.

Prices by arrangement. Work starts after receiving the deposit, which is used to buy and prepare the neccesary materials. Photos of the work in progress can be sent by e-mail if desired.
